Adopt a Pet - Senior Pets Program

Any Person over 60 is eligible to adopt one shelter pet every three years free of charge, as a part of the Pets for People Program sponsored by the Idaho Humane Society and The Ralston Purina Co.

Adoptions include free spay or neuter, feline leukemia testing, and an initial vaccination. The adopter is responsible for any license that may be required. Eligible pets are dogs over two years old and cats over one year old.

The senior wishing to adopt under this program must be here to sign the adoption papers.

The Senior Pets Program has allowed us to place thousands of animals in senior's homes, providing meaningful lifelong companionship for pets and people alike.
